The design of the Prospex Save the Ocean men’s watch SPB297J1 is inspired by the glaciers that shape the landscapes and marine worlds in the Arctic and Antarctic. The intricate structure of the deep blue dial reflects the power and beauty of polar glaciers. The SPB297J1 is based on Seiko’s first diving watch from 1965, which demonstrated its reliability during the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition from 1966 to 1969.

The diver’s watch is part of the Seiko Prospex Save the Ocean series, with which Seiko supports selected marine conservation organizations, including through financial measures.
