Description

Skagen was launched in 1989 by Charlotte Jorst and Henrik Jorst when Henrik was appointed US Sales Manager for Carlsberg. The couple used this opportunity to launch their own business as US representatives for Danish watch manufacturers. In 1991 they designed their own watches which were showcased at a corporate gift fair in New York. After receiving a lot of positive feedback they were encourage to market the watches under their own brand – Skagen Denmark.
